Mappio turns a brand and a list of places into a published map. There are no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies. This page explains what happens to what you give us.

When you create a map

• Website address. Mappio visits the public page you enter with an automated browser and reads its colors, logo and fonts. A screenshot of the page and its logo is sent to Anthropic (the Claude API) to help choose the map's colors and style. Screenshots are not kept after your map is created.
• Logo. An uploaded logo is analyzed for its colors and is not stored.
• Spreadsheet. Your rows are read in your browser and on our server to build the map. If rows have addresses or place names instead of coordinates, those place names are sent to Geoapify to find their coordinates. Nothing from the spreadsheet is stored unless you publish.

When you publish

• The map's title, its style and the places you published (names, locations and the details columns you included) are stored with Google Cloud and are public to anyone with the map link or embed.
• You receive a private management link. We store only a one-way fingerprint (hash) of it, so we cannot recover it for you.
• If you ask us to email you the link, your email address is passed to our email provider (Resend) to deliver that one message. We do not keep your address.
• You can delete a published map at any time with its management link. Deletion removes it from our storage.

When someone views a map

Map tiles load from OpenFreeMap, so viewers' browsers contact OpenFreeMap's servers. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud, in the EU) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
